This supposed “toy” feels durable in your hands and when its fully loaded with the 5 AA batteries behind the head strap, well it feels like hardware instead of a plastic toy. The view from these is actually a monocle viewer, coming thru the right eye only via a tiny display in the eyepiece, the left eyepiece can flip up and allow normal vision. Bottom line, these WORK. Try them out in pitch black and you will be satisfied. Has toggles for viewing in green/white, or black/white. Near or far mode and an on/off switch. Only down side is the narrow field of view. You can stand with your arm outstretched in front of you and you are limited to seeing things starting at your wrist and further away. So, no fine needle work in the dark.
